All our kayaks are doubles and triples. We think it's much more fun with a minimum of two people in each kayak but if you really want to fly solo we can put you in a small double kayak. All prices listed are per person. We run our guided river trips eveinings from Dublin City Moorings through the very center of the beating heart of the capital. Our river trip is the only way to actually paddle under the famous O’Connell and Ha’penny bridges! City Kayaking is a fantastic way to see Dublin’s most famous landmark sites from a unique angle!
The trips are led by our experienced local guides and our kayaks are very stable "sit on top", ideal for beginners. The experience takes about 2 hours of which at least 90 minutes on the water.

Our Launching base is located just beside the Jeanie Jonhston Tall Ship, between the Samuel Beckett Bridge and the Sean O’ Casey pedestrian’s bridge. From here we’ll start paddling towards the heart of the city, going under some of Dublin’s most famous bridges and past well known landmarks. We end the trip back to our base where you can safely leave your belongings.
Please come dressed and ready for kayaking! We have no toilets or customer changing facilities on site. Do not arrive in your best clothes, jeans or high heels.
Dress appropriately for the weather, with clothing and footwear you don’t mind getting damp.
Shorts or leggings are ideal in the summer, warmer trousers for winter paddling.
Extra clothing layers are always a good idea to have available, especially for fall/winter paddling. Layers made of fleece or synthetic materials that dry quicker are ideal. You may also bring a towel for use following the tour, if desired.
A kayak, a paddle and a floatation device - if you require waterproof gear please ask the instructor at the base on the day and they will provide it.
BE AWARE THERE ARE NO TOILETS ON SITE
The nearest public toilets are in the CHQ building across the road from us.
Under 16’s must be accompanied on the water at all times by an adult.
MINIMUM AGE is 12 years and above.
Please wait outside the blue gate on arrival and our instructor will bring you in at the allocated time.
